Marindust Cable Assemblies — suitable for balustrade, arbours and Espalier etc.
All fittings and cable are grade 316 stainless steel
For all balustrade that is over 1 metre drop off to the ground the following BCA rules apply:
- You can’t pass a 125mm sphere through a gap allowing for deflection of the cable.
- Intermediate posts should be installed at 1.2m—1.5m apart
- Hand rail at 1 metre from finished floor level
- Therefore 11 –12 rows of cables required ie 80—90mm spacings depending on how much tension can be applied to the cables
- End balusters should be fixed/installed so as tension can be applied to cable
- End balusters should be of wall thickness or strength to not bow when tension is applied
